Jason Gisser
Biography
At the age of 9, Jason began playing the saxophone. As you can imagine at this age he wasn’t very good, but growing up in a household with music like Santana, Cool and the Gang, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner to name a few he knew he wanted to make music. By the age of 15 Jason was hacking away at the piano, guitar, percussion and still the sax. At this point Jason had some recording experience, as he and fellow musician Ray Morales would find time after school writing and recording on an old four-track recorder they bought for $100. This had fueled his experimental music drive. (That and hours of listening to Pink Floyd albums under headphones.) At the age of 19 Jason went to school for music but had never finished with a degree. He took only music courses and aced them all. When there were no more music courses to take, he left college, and began playing acoustic guitar and singing in bars. This has led Jason to some great experiences. He played at the New York International Music Festival, Texas Motor Speedway, and even a few Radio stations have interviewed him about his music. Jason is a singer songwriter who supports other singer songwriters, and even has a small production company designed to help artists get gigs and network with each other. Currently he has 2 CD’ s. “Soulicide Acoustic” a 5 song, live in the studio, acoustic cd and “Dark Liquid Purple” a full 15 song CD. Jason is recording his third CD and it should be out sometime at the end of 2005.
